Objectives

• Raise awareness and understanding of the interests and culture of the African & Caribbean people.
• Promote the involvement of African & Caribbean people in the development of policy, provisions and good practice.
• Advance education, and raising civic awareness of good citizenship.
• Promote wellbeing through healthy living.
• To foster the development of social and community relations by combating exclusion and discrimination.
• To promote and organise working in partnerships with other organisations and agencies to further our objectives.

Vision

• “To promote and facilitate the inclusion of African and Caribbean residents as equal and valued members of their communities. Therefore help to alleviate discrimination by raising awareness and empowering African and Caribbean people to participate in these processes,”

Our Success Factors

We believe our main success factors are;

• our drive, enthusiasm, dedication and the support we have from other community organisations across Scotland.

We have built network partnerships who we work with in collaboration to deliver a range of services to our members.

We work together as a team by harnessing our diverse skills and encouraging participation. Each individual is a valued member.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience within our community which we are keen to share with other organisations and agencies for the promotion of social cohesion.
